I say this because a poster I saw on Facebook for Eve (I’m guessing a US singer) had some extra dates added to the bill, including here in Adelaide.

One of the many venues available is an old Town Hall in the suburb of Thebarton, pronounced “theb-ar-tonne” with no additional stress on any syllable.

But for some reason the promoters of the tour, obviously not locals, decided to call the place ‘The Barton’. Maybe their copy setter corrected it to what ‘looked’ right…

It was also interesting (from a ‘good’ perspective) to see the effective use of YouTube as a promotional platform. At the bottom of the online poster you can click through to Eve’s videos to watch, shake your booty to/with, and decide if you want to pay the dollars to go see her. Effective use of the media.

Click on the poster below to see the full-size version and here’s the Eve tour website for the YouTube links.
