The delightful and uber-kind Meryl David has transplanted herself across to Zurich, having been relocated by her employer, Zurich Insurance.
Anyone who has been touched by Meryl’s kindness knows what a wonderful communicator and more importantly human being she is.
I am happy to report that Meryl and Richard have started their own blog as a way of reaching back out to their family (and I would add, ‘legion of fans’).
The blog is full of Meryl’s sense of wonder and awe at things we can sometimes take for granted, all delivered with her usual style, grace and charm.
For a novice it’s romantic and fun and I feel like running about chasing snowflakes to make up for never having been a child in the snow. Instead I surreptitiously inspect my coat sleeves for the perfect little crystals trying not to look like someone who’s seldom seen this stuff before
I can hear her South African lilt in her voice as I read her words. Marvellous!
Meryl’s working for Zurich in Zurich; I’m only glad that Richard Branson has never approached me, I’d hate to have to turn him down.

Lee You have no idea what a wonderful favour you did with this posting. An old friend from South African days (I left there 30 years ago) knew I was in Zurich but had no idea how to find me. She Googled my name, found your blog, turned up at the front door of the office where I work and asked for me. And we had a wonderful reunion. So thanks for connecting me with a wonderful friend and for reminding me that good friends are good friends always.
