I‘ve known about SnagIt! for over a decade, but figured that since I just about knew my way around graphic editing software I didn’t need it.

Pride makes a mockery of a man.

I finally relented and downloaded the 30 day trial.

WOW!

It’s soooo easy to capture images, text, anything! — and there’s even plugins for IE and Firefox so I can one-click to grab an image.

There’s also plugins so that it exports directly into Photoshop, auto exports as a gif or a jpg, into Word or PowerPoint…

There’s even a page on their website on how to use it in a small business setting.

I just saved myself a LOT of hassle… should have snagged this years ago!

I have experience both with Snagit and DemoCreator, a snagit like screen recorder.
http://www.sameshow.com/demo-creator.html

Snagit is good to capture still images.
But for a filmimg of screen acitivities, DemoCreator does a better. I can even record narration for the demo. This can not be done with Snagit.

Hello Lee,

I can only but agree, I do love Snagit too (as my blog may show :-) )

Kingmarsh, Snagit does OK for recording video of screen activities, but if you want top DVD quality you should really look into Camtasia by the same maker as Snagit.
