My earlier comments about Mitch Joel and his team’s superb Christmas card have seemed to have circulated a bit — the famous and fabulous AdRants blog even picked it up.
As Mitch said,
Steve Hall runs one of the coolest sites/Blogs on advertising. Hands down. Each day AdRants is primed with insights, commentary and humor that truly is a reflection of the advertising, marketing and communications industry
I never knew Steve or Angela read me, so I’m very flattered!
I was even picked up by Michel LeBlanc, but I don’t speak or read French so I have no idea if he is being cruel or kind
There were a few interesting comments added to my original post, too, pointing me off to a couple of cool ‘toys’.
One was a spoof vidblog on Arnold Schwarzenegger, the other (courtesy of the wise and witty Ed Lee) a ‘D-I-Y’ holiday scene:

Thank you for recognizing my website (www.arnoldspeaks.com). You have a great website as well. Whenever Maria asks me where I’ve been all night and why I smell like perfume, I always tell her I’ve been reading your website while sitting in a big bottle of perfume.

Dear Mr Hopkins,
I do write in French and quote in the native language of people I … actually quote. Therefore, do not worry about what I might have said about you. In short, I said that I know Mitch (I have in fact been called by on of Mitch students, that I was the French Canadian Mitch Joel, but that is another story), and that I had received several other Season’s greetings cards and since I am in conflict of interest saying his card was so good, I was relieved to quote somebody else saying the same thing. I am therefore thankful that somebody other than me takes the burden of glorifying my friend. It will be much easier for me to face my other business contacts that I did not get put on a pedestal. Thank you then and a merry and cheerful Christmas to you… or as we say in French, Un Joyeux Noël et une bonne année à vous monsieur Hopkins!
Cordialement,

hey Lee,
Glad you liked the card - just wanted to let you and your readers know about a cool little easter egg we slotted in there. if you select mario (the first option for question four) and build your scene anywhere but north korea, you can click on the TV for a little surprise…
