Donna Papacosta wows the printers at Stibo With Special Guest Star Donna Papacosta!

Last Thursday, Allan had the pleasure of talking about social media at the annual Stibo Forum held by Stibo Graphic for its many customers. Never missing a chance to show off our command of the medium, Allan and I recorded Chat #18 directly from the Forum.

In this chat, you’ll hear myself, Donna, and Allan talk about how cheap and easy podcasting is, and move on to discuss why we bother to use social media. Is it masochism? Or does it have real implications for our businesses?

We cite, among other cases, Whirlpool’s American Family podcast, GM Fastlane Blog, the Southwest Airlines blog, and SecondLife.

[We apologize for the slight echo you'll hear from time to time. Entirely Allan's fault for stepping in front of the speaker. We have had him shot.] < /p>

Download [9mb] and take an 18 minute coffee break with Lee and Allan. And don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed to catch every sparkling discussion as we pass the coffee pot around. And if you are an iTunes user, you can find our podcast on the iTunes Music Store (for free, of course!).

1. If this is your first time commenting using the email address you have given, your comment will be held in 'moderation' and won't appear until one of us here at BetterComms Towers approves it. This stops spammers from flooding our posts with garbage. It may take up to 48 hours for your comment to appear -- sorry!

2. This blog runs the WP-Cache plugin, which reduces the amount of processing our host's server has to perform on this blog. The result for you is that our site crashes less. The downside is that sometimes it might take a minute or two for your comment to appear. Please don't resubmit your comment if it doesn't appear straight away. Please be patient and try refreshing your browser after a minute or two... Thanks, Lee
