Hi guys,
Just listened to your podcast this morning on the way into work. I’m a regular FIR listener, but it’s good to hear your thoughts and debate. In particular it was good to hear a combination of marketing and PR talk - from what I’ve found the marketing side of our business is a bit behind the communications/PR side in podcasting.
Looking forward to the next episode!
thanks,
Simon

Great idea!
Lee, can you please tell me what’s the original feed for the podcast (i.e. the source for the Feedburner feed), so I can add it to the PR Blogs List? Thank you!

G’day Simon and Constantin,
Thanks for your very kind words! Allan and I had great fun putting it together. We REALLY must do another one!! As for the source, Constantin, I’m a bit reluctant to use anything BUT the feedburner feed because if the podcast goes really well (i.e. great subscriber numbers and good feedback) we may spin it off to its own blog, in which case having the feedburner feed means no loss of subscribers if we DO move.
I’ve moved a couple of clients, and myself, this way and it really is painless. However, if you still want the original feed (but then I can’t tell how many have subscribed, can I?) drop me an email and I’ll wing it over…
Cheers,
Lee

First, congratulations to you and Allan on the new podcast, with the wordy, yet fullyentertaining, title!
Great intro to the program: “You’ve joined a conversation with Allan Jenkins in Copenhagen and Lee Hopkins in Adelaide. Enjoy.”
That’s exactly what it felt like, too, the thrill of eavesdropping on a compelling conversation between two communications professional.
You didn’t spend several minutes explaining what the podcast actually was - you just had that intro and got right to the content. I also liked the format of each co-host introducing one topic for discussion.
Well done, gentlemen. I’m already subscribed, and looking forward to the next show.

Lee (and Allan):
Loved the show. It sounded like you were both having fun, which is important to the appeal of a podcast.
And that direct marketing, long-copy style may work for some products or people, but I can’t imagine any of my clients ever forgiving me if I used it on them. And it’s really annoying when two or three people whose e-zines I’ve been reading suddenly start sticking almost identical pitches into their publications, or into separate messages. The more bonuses and testimonials, the more skeptical I become. In the aggregate, these sales pages are like car alarms: they achieve no object but annoying me.
Guess I’m doomed never to get rich quick from the Internet.
Cheers,
Sallie

Err, on second thoughts, let me rephrase that… Allan and I will record another chat later today. That’s better (I think)
