La Strump banned from BetterComms Towers
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can even subscribe by email! Thanks for visiting!
M y friend and colleague Shel Holtz is the latest in a lengthening line of Comms bloggers singled out for criticism by La Strump.
In his rather erudite post, Hiding behind the facade, Shel goes to some length to politely rebuke a personal attack.
The Strump then decides to attack not only Shel, but one of his blog’s visitors:
Shut up Alice.

First Crescenzo’s attack on Jenkins, now La Strump’s attack on Shel. Whatever happened to good manners?
Well, I’ve taken a stand against such nonsense and put La Strump’s IP address into my spam blacklist file. I don’t see why my readers should have to weather the slings and arrows of La Strump’s outrageous spelling, grammer and childish temper tantrums. I call it exercising my editorial and publishing rights.
Let the firestorm of immature invective about me start, but it won’t be starting on this blog.
Stumble it!

Please note:
1. If this is your first time commenting using the email address you have given, your comment will be held in 'moderation' and won't appear until one of us here at BetterComms Towers approves it. This stops spammers from flooding our posts with garbage. It may take up to 48 hours for your comment to appear -- sorry!
2. This blog runs the WP-Cache plugin, which reduces the amount of processing our host's server has to perform on this blog. The result for you is that our site crashes less. The downside is that sometimes it might take a minute or two for your comment to appear. Please don't resubmit your comment if it doesn't appear straight away. Please be patient and try refreshing your browser after a minute or two... Thanks, Lee

It’s your blog, Lee; you should be able to preclude whomever you wish. I’m sorely tempted to do the same, but I’m enjoying watch “Amanda” hang itself on its own words. In its latest diatribe, it makes clear that it thinks that the PR profession at large is without worth and anyone who works in it is a “nincompoop.” That kind of generalization is called “bigotry” where I come from, the same sort of nonsense as “all blondes are dumb,” “all Jews are tightwads,” and “all politicians are liars.” So, for the time being, I’ll leave my blog open to “Amanda” so it can continue to put its idiocy and bigotry on public display. Of course, if it goes too far, I’ll gleefully pull the plug.

I’m just removing the oxygen where I can, Shel. This is a fire that will eventually die through lack of oxygen, or as Phil Gomes says [http://www.philgomes.com/blog/2006/04/strumpys-act-is-older.htm], she will eventually die from all the bruising caused by 10-foot barge poles. Personally, I wouldn’t touch her/him with a 10-foot barge pole myself…
