Says DdotHill about Excel 12’s massive size compared to Excel 2003:

65536 rows
256 columns

I’ve been caught out enough times for that to be a top reason to upgrade alone…

You’ve been caught out? What in twelve shades of buggery you been doin’, son, that needs more than 65k rows and 256 columns?

If you work for a large enough company and you strip out reports from their invoicing system enough times, you’ll end up with more than 65,500 orders every so often.

I’ve never gone into Excel and typed in sixty odd thousand records and I’m praying I never will.

I can’t be alone here. It’s not like they only doubled it…
