Moleskin notebook

Well, since everyone is raving about them, I thought I’d track them down in Adelaide (no mean feat) and try one myself.

So I finally found that Borders in Adelaide has a small range (to the left of and behind the escalator if you enter from the front of the store).

It fits nicely into my inside jacket pocket; we wait with baited breath to see if scribblings worthy of Chatwin and Hemingway fill it.

Perhaps my very nice Waterman fountain pen will prove more inspiring and inspired than I currently am.

Mmh, Lee. One of my current clients has a great Moleskine collection. Unfortunately, they don’t “officially” ship outside Germany. Maybe I should think about that.

Wow - Another Australian that knows about Moleskines. My friends snatch mine away to read the latest scribblings. They are very easy to find in the Sydney CBD these days, not so much 6 months ago.

You have to blame Ben Hamilton for my knowledge of Moleskines, I’m afraid. Until he and Doug Johnston got me into the ‘lingo’ I had no idea about them… to me a notebook is a notebook. But as a romantic I love the idea of the continuity of a historical fiction.

Sab, I know that there’s heaps of online sites where you can pick up Moleskines - go for it, lad!

Actually, I meant for you to order them with my client. :-) Me thinking about securing shipping to Australia.
Personally, I have about 8 of them in use at the moment.

Eight? Go on — spill the story! How do you use 8 — are they all at once?

I will, but at the right time, right place ;-)
I have a calendar and regular notebook. And then there is a thinner version, of those I have one for each client…

Ahhh, one for each client makes perfect sense! But surely you are more digital than analog — I much prefer firing up my noisy digital notebook than my paper notebook (because i only have to write it once)…
