BCR Podcast #25 - An Interview with Shel Holtz & Neville Hobson
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can even subscribe by email! Thanks for visiting!
Show no. 25 of Better Communication Results - the podcast is now available for download (27mb) and in this show I interview two gurus of the business communication world — Neville Hobson and Shel Holtz.
I struggled with an introduction to the podcast, and in the end gave up. Everyone knows these two, their own podcast is famous (or is that ‘infamous’?)
We talk about beginnings, mistakes, successes, strategy versus tactics, the IABC, words of wisdom and guidance, beheading and public execution, and much, much more (including what job Shel was offered until a “proper job comes along”). You are guaranteed a laugh (at my interviewing style, if nothing else).
At 59 minutes long — and worksafe — it’s a fantastic listen!
And keep listening after the ‘outro’ theme tune; there’s a bonus outtake where you get to here Shel’s views on whether size is everything!
Of course, if you subscribe to my podcast rss feed you will have already have downloaded this. If you don’t, but you’d like to know more about web feeds and rss, might I suggest you have a look at this ‘what is rss?’ page.

Please be patient and try refreshing your browser after a minute or two... Thanks, Lee

Great entertainment guys. The non-introduction set the tone for the interview perfectly.
I was in the midst of typing a post on “going forward” whilst listening after reading through some of Donna P’s archives and then Shel brought it up. How freaky…

[...] Ik durf niet eens in iTunes te kijken hoeveel podcasts daar staan te wachten. In ieder geval is de laatste show van Lee Hopkins een must-listen volgens Fred, dus die zal zeker de iPod op moeten. [...]
