Dougie\'s got a brand new bagand no, I’m not talking about his previous threat of infidelity becoming a reality.

Doug Johnston has upgraded his WordPress blog from 1.5 to 2.0, and rather spiffing it looks too!

Regular readers of this humble blog (yes, you at the back of the class with the HeMan comic and the unfinished Mars bar) will remember that I recently mentioned that there were a few people I was very glad had moved into my radar and were on the way to becoming good friends. Young Douglas Arbuthnot Fortesque Johnston (I kid you not!) is one of them.

He and his lovely wife Jennifer are both exceedingly creative types, which is always a bonus in my friends, as I don’t watch telly (apart from House with Hugh Laurie) and have little in common with manly men who can erect a toolshed in an advert break with one hand still holding their pint of ‘ManlyMen Beer’.

Give me a crisp Reisling, a reserve bottle of fine bubbly (Bird in Hand Pinot Noir, Yellow Vintage Cremant or Verve Cliq will do) and a good SLR, painting or novel and I’m yours… Oh, and if you can supply a never-ending dish of blue-vein cheese, pate and little tuna nibblies I’ll even say “thank you!”

Doug’s new-look blog is still chockers with his usual wordsmithy flair and finesse… nice one, Dougie!

Now I know how you balance so much….no telly! There are few shows that I watch, but House is one. I am hooked!

When does the second series of House start in the US? Has it already started?
