Donna Tocci now blogging
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can even subscribe by email! Thanks for visiting!
Those who have been around the blogosphere for a little while will recognise the name of Donna Tocci.
She was the comms manager of the infamous Kryptonite saga and was lambasted for a considerable while because Kryptonite were not responding quickly enough to revelations about the insecurity of their locks.
When she finally appeared in the blogosphere, courtesy of an interview with Shel Israel over at Naked Conversations (aka ‘The Red Couch’), she created a stir. Some sided with her (including this author), some continued to lambast her for not responding quickly enough.
Now she has started her own blog (and thanks to Shel for finding it).
And to be fair to her, she openly admits her nervousness, the ground rules under which she will operate her blog, and her lack of tech savvy.
For example, as she says,
You might see me ‘kick and scream’ from time to time as I flub my way through all of the technology, but I’ll get there (I know, I know, RSS is next on the list for this site). There is just so much I need to learn. I’m a newbie here and I know it. I’ll get there, just please have some patience with me.
There’s currently no way to subscribe to her blog, but I indeed am having patience with her.
I now await with baited breath the arrival of Christine Birkner on the blogging scene, only hoping that she will shed some light on the PR debacle that bore her name.
Stumble it!

1. If this is your first time commenting using the email address you have given, your comment will be held in 'moderation' and won't appear until one of us here at BetterComms Towers approves it. This stops spammers from flooding our posts with garbage. It may take up to 48 hours for your comment to appear -- sorry!
2. This blog runs the WP-Cache plugin, which reduces the amount of processing our host's server has to perform on this blog. The result for you is that our site crashes less. The downside is that sometimes it might take a minute or two for your comment to appear. Please don't resubmit your comment if it doesn't appear straight away. Please be patient and try refreshing your browser after a minute or two... Thanks, Lee

Hi Donna,
Well, seeing as how there’s no trackback on your site you must be glued to Technorati at the moment, because you commented very quickly after I posted this {smile}.
Welcome to the blogosphere and may your path be smooth and enlightening — any help I can offer please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Lee,
Donna is amazing and she’s going to be a “player” in the blogosphere over time.
She’s also participating in a new collaborative marketing blog called Shut up and Drink the Kool-Aid! (http://bicyclemarketingwatch.blogspot.com) I was thrilled to be able to get her involved with the project because she has some great perspectives and experiences that are very compelling. She’s a smart cookie…
