Podcasting solipsism revisited

Thanks to everyone who has commented, either by email or on the blog about this ravaging disease.

Donna mentioned her daughter who, courtesy of her iPod, now saves Donna the trial of listening to Green Day about 1,000 decibels while her daughter does her calculus homework.

I am grateful that courtesy of my teenage son’s mp3 player we as a family are no longer subjected to the band that currently appears to be the Adelaide angst-ridden teenager’s band of choice, Slipknot.

Laura kindly commented on the new look to this blog (thanks! - if only I could sort out the css differences between Firefox and IE, though…) and mentions that one 60-something white-haired lady nearly bowled her over while power walking.

This mp3 solipsism is definitely something to be wary about - sort of reminds me of doctors’ warnings in the 70s about ‘Disco Fingers’, which was the damage disco goers did to themselves by constantly clicking their fingers in time to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack!
