PriusMy investigation into the possible purchase of a Prius for the good lady wife and myself has unearthed an interesting fact: the $40,000 car currently has a four month waiting list for orders, with the waiting list expected to lengthen.

It seems, from reading my newspaper on the weekend, that new car sales are greater than used car sales for the first time in a long time here in Australia. And it would seem that it is the smaller, more fuel-efficient cars that are being purchased.

I received the following picture from a friend which kind of sums it all up - thanks, Maree!
